Recruit LSE students or graduates to help in your department

LSE Careers can help internal School departments in sourcing the following:

  • Temporary support for ad-hoc work, events or projects
  • Full-time, fixed-term internships up to nine months
  • Full-time or part-time appointments throughout the academic year

We strongly encourage all LSE departments to advertise their vacancies through LSE Careers.

This gives students the advantage of visiting one comprehensive job site, relieving some of the time pressure they can be under. In turn, departments receive the high-quality work and reliable service of LSE students.

Temporary work of less than one month

Our student helpers can provide temporary support and assistance to all LSE departments. Recruited annually, they are reliable, hard-working and available at very short notice to provide ad-hoc assistance throughout the School.

In the past student helpers have performed a range of administrative tasks including:

  • Reception duties
  • Updating databases/data entry tasks
  • Conducting research
  • Providing translation services
  • Assisting with office moves

Student helpers have recently been employed by a variety of academic and professional service departments including the Department of Economics, Financial Markets Group (FMG), Conferences and Events Office and Residential Services.

Graduate internships (up to 12 months)

LSE Graduate Internships provide recent LSE graduates with full-time, paid internship contracts in academic, research and professional service departments at the School.

Internships are available up to an initial fixed period of twelve months, with potential for an additional extension up to a maximum of eighteen months subject to meeting specific criteria.
